Electronic Arts is according to the LA Times done with The Godfather Franchise. But apparently everyone knows this except Paramount. In an interview at E3 on Wednesday, Frank Gibeau, president of the EA Games label, said that after April’s release of The Godfather II, his company is done with making video games based on the critically acclaimed film series.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, it seems that Activision have set up deals for “Call of Duty: The Movie”, the movie for the very popular video game.
Screenwriter Chris Morgan, who penned such movies as Fast and Furious and Wanted, comments on the assignment of writing the script for the upcoming Gears of War movie. One of the issues, Morgan says, is to find an actor who can not only be the tough guy in the movie, but showcase emotion and “put some humanity in it”. He pictures The Rock, aka Dwayne Johnson, to play the part of Marcus Fenix. Morgan says of The Rock:
